Sunset Maternity Session {Washington DC Maternity Photographer}

This session could not have been more lovely. This mom and dad to be wanted to capture this special time in their lives at Lincoln Park where they got engaged! And I was so happy they brought along their sweet lab. We had beautiful weather and lighting and I can’t wait to hear their good news soon.

Maternity Session in the Garden {Washington DC Maternity Session}

These parents to be were wonderful but it was their pup who really stole the show. It was as if she knew her time as the star was coming to an end before her baby brother arrives and she wanted to shine during her session. I am so glad she was part of this maternity session-always happy to include a family dog. I know how much they are a part of the family. Can’t wait to meet the little human arriving this summer!

A Winter Maternity Session {Washington DC Maternity Session}

These two are real troopers. This was one of the coldest photo sessions I’ve ever done and they did not complain or even shiver once. We took breaks putting on coats and boots in between shots but we were still able to get such gorgeous shots.

Double the Fun {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I met these little guys 9 months ago at their newborn session and I knew then what a wonderful family they have. I was excited when their mom reached out to do some updated 9 month old pictures. I’m glad we did these when we did as I can see they are already on the move! This felt like a true success getting 2 9 month olds to smile simultaneously. What a fun morning!

One Year Old {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This little boy is already one. His first year has flown by and his mom wanted to make sure to capture him at this fun and sweet age. He is just on the verge of his first steps so it was fun to watch him explore the beautiful gardens on an early June morning.

At Home on Capitol Hill {Washington DC Family Photographer}

When I talked with this Mom about doing a family session, she suggested her home on Capitol Hill. While I am sometimes hesitant to do an at home family session since many Washington DC Families do not have very big or versatile outdoor spaces, I’m so glad we did this one! We lucked out with a very mild January afternoon and these kids both have killer smiles!

Mom and Dad to Be! {Washington DC Maternity Photographer}

We really lucked out with this session. It was an unseasonably warm day in October and the rains that had been non-stop briefly took a break so we get get these beautiful pictures of these two parents to be! We had almost the whole park to ourselves and were able to take advantage of all the beautiful sights. Can’t wait to meet their little lady.

A New Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I loved meeting one of DC's newest little baby boys. He was alert for his whole photo session and often looked right at the camera, a perfect little model. Not only did these wonderful parents have an adorable baby boy but they had the sweetest pup who did not want to be left out. I loved seeing their new nursery and how much they loved each other and their new son. What a beautiful new family I was so happy to capture.

Backyard Family Fun {Washington DC Family Photographer}

Usually when a DC family contacts me about family photos, I recommend we do them at a local park. And while that is usually beautiful, this special session in this family's very own backyard was fantastic. It was so fun to incorporate their Petworth home into their family photos. These girls have the best smile and this was such a fun and hopefully pain free morning.

Two Moms To Be! {Washington DC Maternity Photography}

These ladies were referred to me from a previous client. They were both so excited for the new little bundle of joy. This particular day was quite cold but I appreciated their willingness to ditch their coats for a few minutes at a time to get some wonderful shots of the beautiful moms to be!
