This family and I go way back. Their daughter-now a 5th grader!-was one of my first newborns I ever photographed. She was easy and cute and I’ve had the pleasure of her two little brothers over the years. The big siblings were so caring and excited to show me their new baby brother. It is so fun watching these family grow over the years and I’m so glad we could meet again for this newborn photo session in their Chevy Chase, MD home.
This tiny little babe was a dream to photograph. Her parents got lots of light in there DC row house bedroom (which is not always the case). She slept when we wanted her to and opened her eyes for just a few minutes so we could get her awake too. While I don’t like to pose newborns, I do like to capture them all cozy and asleep and she knew her role! I wish all Washington DC Newborns were this peaceful.
I was so glad this family let me capture their new baby boy in their new house in Chevy Chase, DC. Both big brother and little brother did great-one slightly more still than the other. Big brother was happy to play for a few minutes and then we were able to focus on the new baby.
This newborn session in Chevy Chase, DC was so wonderful. This big brother eagerly welcomed me to his house with lots of stories and questions. I love a fun toddler to add some fun while new babies tend to sleep through much of our time together. They have a beautiful home that was the perfect spot to photograph these early newborn days.
This family got in touch once their baby girl had arrived and I’m so glad they did. Despite snow and schedules, we found a beautiful bright day to capture their new dynamic as a family of four in their beautiful Bethesda home. Big brother warmed up quickly and made for such a fun photo session.
This is the second time I’ve photographed this family. I first met them when this big toddler was a little 8 month old and he is now a big brother! It was so fun meeting their first new baby girl and seeing how much she is already loved.
Three years ago in the peak of Covid these parents contacted me about doing a newborn session outdoors. While it was cold and windy, we made it work so we could capture this special time. Well, they now have welcomed a second baby girl and wanted to do an outdoor newborn session again.
This newborn session was truly a dream. I always love capturing new babies when there is a toddler around. The toddler adds some fun and spice to the session. This little baby was so calm and slept through our whole session. He had a beautiful nursery in their NW DC apartment that made for a beautiful setting. Thanks for letting me capture this special time in the early newborn days.
I first met this family when big brother was born. He is now a full blown toddler full of smiles and energy. I loved being able to capture his new role as big brother and their life as they welcomed this new baby home.
