Fall Photography

Cold Fall Morning {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I have been photographing this family since big sister was a newborn! She is always so fun to capture with a big personality and her little brother is definitely following in her footsteps. Despite the cold temperatures on this October morning (and even some sickness!) this family looked beautiful and pushed through the cold to get these beautiful pictures. I’m so glad to still be photographing them four years later.

Fall Family Fun {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This was a dream fall mini-session. I’ve photographed this sweet family before so I’ve had the chance to get to know them and these two kids are fun and funny. We had a beautiful fall morning as the backdrop to capture these sweet toddlers.

When this mom contacted me she told me she had never had one picture of the four of them! While this may surprise some I can see how the days fly by and the toddlers are unruly and before you know it the kids are growing up and you’ve had no family portraits. I am so glad we could capture not just one picture like she asked for but many pictures of her sweet family of four!

A Winter Family Session {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This family gets the award for maybe one of the colder sessions of the year! Yes, there was still some snow hanging around in their fun Washington DC backyard but they were nice enough to start a fire which provided some warmth. And with these two kids it is always fun, funny and entertaining.

Beautiful Fall Morning {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I have been photographing this family for four years now since this big boy was a newborn baby in their DC apartment. He was sweet and smiley then just like he is now. We lucked out with this beautiful fall morning in Rock Creek Park. I loved capturing the warmth and love of this family.

I loved seeing this family again. Last time I photographed them, this big three year old was only a few months and now I got to meet his adorable little sister. Even though she is only a few months old, she was already a great little photo subject cooing and smiling at her dad. Her big brother continues to shine.

I loved seeing this family for a second year. This time they brought their new puppy. As someone who is experienced with toddlers, puppies require some of the same patience (but not the silly faces!). Like their human brothers, these dogs did great and it is such a nice treat to photograph big kids.

A Fall Afternoon with this Fun Family {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I first met this family a few years ago when doing this little guy’s newborn session. He was cute then and he is even cuter now. He is full of personality and energy and kept me on my toes. I loved this session because I was able to see him in action!

In Your Own Backyard {Washington DC Family Photographer}

Most of the time my family photo sessions take place in a local park. Many people in Washington DC do not have a backyard, at least not one big enough for a photo session. When this family came to me with the idea of doing the photos in their own yard I thought it was a great idea. Kids are usually more comfortable in their own yard and I was able to capture this family enjoying their own home!

I met this guy when he was a newborn. We could not get him to wakeup for the entire newborn session despite great effort by all three of us. Well, now that he is one he is alert and fun! We lucked out with this beautiful morning and he was full of smiles as you can see! Happy first Birthday!
